From Manuels River to Terminal Road, residents and visitors can avail of a wide range of restaurants, shops, and service providers within a 3 km stretch. Since its inception, the DTCBS Board of Management has committed to improving the character, safety, and functionality of Conception Bay South’s main business district.
The board wishes to announce the appointment of Lorraine Ennis as Executive Director as of June 2021. Lorraine has been awarded a Paul Harris Fellow and a True Rotarian Award in recognition of consistent, dedicated, and valued Service Above Self for Rotary. She is looking forward to this new chapter in community service and development as the Executive Director of Downtown CBS.
“As we enter this next phase of economic recovery for businesses in the area, I’m eager to get to work by implementing the strategic plan set forth by the board of management. I encourage businesses in Downtown CBS to reach out and get involved. I look forward to bringing my experience to the table and helping to make a positive impact in the area.” – Lorraine Ennis, Executive Director
“I started with the Downtown CBS Board of Management in 2015 and have seen firsthand the growth and influence of the name Downtown CBS thanks to our investment in our marketing efforts this past year. We are committed to meeting the needs of businesses in DTCBS which is why we made the decision to hire our first Executive Director. Member engagement and marketing of the downtown core are top priorities for the board and as volunteers, we knew we needed to have boots on the ground to achieve the organization’s goals. We’re happy to welcome Lorraine and are looking forward to working with her.” – Christine Hand, Chair
