The Long Pond Harbour Authority (LPHA) is a private, not for profit corporation with a mandate of overseeing the long-term sustainable future of the Port of Long Pond. As part of the Canadian Port Divestiture Program, the corporation was formed in 1999 to examine the potential to become an independent port that could transition from the Federal Government. In March of 2013, LPHA took ownership of the port infrastructure and seabed.
